I wanna set me up a MusicCenter.

So i dont need a visualization. All i need is a software that deliveres a database of musicfiles that are stored on the system's HD.

Is it possible to configure the MediaCenter in such ways, that if I start the PC that I won't need to do anything (i.e. typing in the password, open the MediaCenter ) until it starts the MusicCenter all by its own?

I want to use the Center from a Remote control like this "Logitech WIRELESS DJ MUSIC SYSTEM" for example.

So what would u suggest?

    easy:)

make Mediaportal start automatically, this can be in the configuration.exe program

If your music is on a server that you would need windows to connect with the right username and password, which can also be done automatically

about the remote: I think the basic functions could be used. THe LCD and music stuff probably not. But MP has DAAP and UPNP and Last.FM plugins which can basicaly do the same thing

This Wireless System works in that way, that you have to install a logitech-program on a windows-pc. The logitech-program is the one, that's going to be controlled through the remote. So the logitech-programm for it self needs a database from which it gets the organized data.

And right now after writing those lines, I'm not sure why I should use this MediaCenter for

I must admit, that i'm more obsessed with this remote than with a fully functional MultimediaSystem. I dont need it for Videos or Photos. I just want to listen!
    :D anyways
