MPEG2 Video Codec: powerdvd 7

HTPC Case: enermax server case
Cooling: arctic cooler
Power Supply: enermax 500w

When using ffdshow as codec and vobsub as postprocessing plugin I get gray bars instead of black ones everytime a video with subtitles is watched.
Has anyone experienced this? And if so, how can I get black bars on movies with subtitles?
