I'm not really having a MP-Server Installation, as this is just being developed by fforde right now. I just have a server running linux where all movie files are stored and shared using NFS. This way i only have several thin clients that stream my media from the server. So your last guess was right

I guess i am at the top of the list people that can't wait for the server support, although i have the fear that it will be windows-based :-(
