Green Screen when trying to watch TV (1 Viewer)

I very new to this MediaPortal. I really like the idea and all but I've spent hours trying to weed out my problems. I recently bought a Hauppauge 1250 as my tuner card and set it up in my computer. I'm signed up with schedules direct to get TV shows that way. I finally got my channels to show up in the guide. Found out I can't have windows media center open. I have mapped all the channels to my analog driver but when I go into MediaPortal to watch TV all I see is a green screen. All the channels and listings are there but just the video and audio aren't working. In my TV log I have this (see below) which worries me because it says "False" to whether my card is supported.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Please help me before I lose my mind! Thanks

I think the problem could be that you are using an analog tuner. To use that you need a Video & Audio encoder installed.

A little more informations could be useful. e.g which MP version do you use, which hardware etc..

My MediaPortal version is 1.1.7.0

Right now my encoders for video and audio are set on MainConcept (HCW) MPEG-2 Video Encoder and MainConcept (HCW) Layer II Audio Encoder. I'm installing the InterVideo Encoder right now to she if that changes anything.

My computer is:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
i5 2500k
AsRock P67 Extreme4 B3
GTX 560 TI DS
8GB of G.SKILL 1333
WinTV-HVR 1250

Any other information I can provide you with?

I'll update you when I try out the InterVideo Encoders

I installed InterVideo and when I go to the general>software tab it says it's not installed. I did find out though that the 1250 doesn't have hardware encoding and the 1600 does which was the card I wanted in the first place until the guy at Microcenter told me they were the exact same except that the 1250 is PCIe and the 1600 is PCI and a $25 price difference so I went with the 1250. I'm going to take it out of my PC and go back to the store. I'll post my results when once I get the other card.
