Guleek i8 (1 Viewer)

Lately i get fed up by the multiple devices i have in my home. Currently using mediaportal on my windows pc and Kodi on my bedroom tv. With Kodi i mean a raspberry Pi.

When looking around i see one device that is paying my attention. It is the Guleek i8 and can currently be preorderd on Dealextreme.

The device seems small enough to get a place behind my tv, so no additional shelfs or wallmounts. But the big question is, will it run mediaportal smooth? Can this be judged from only seeing the spec's?

mmmm tought i found some amazing device to let me play mediaportal in my bedroom without having much space. Isnt there any interest in a small box running windows 8.1? Or is this system a no-go with mediaportal?

Thought there would be some reply's to this.

in a different part of the MePo forums, see link, I gave my comments about using a Win 8.1 Tablet using the same type of CPU/chipset. I had mixed results, 720p (1280x720) programs played ok, but 1080i (1920x1080) programs had frame drop problems. Have not tried the Guleek-i8, not sure if that would work better than the tablet I tried. Maybe the Guleek-i8 would work better, who knows.
