I just bought an HTPC and found this great software. Before I explain my problem to you, I'd like to give some more informations about my configuration: I'm using my HTPC as TV Server and Client. I installed the Microsoft Loopback Adapter and use this adapter for the TV Server and MediaPortal. Vista UAC is disabled as well as its integrated firewall. Avast Home Edition virus scanner is installed and running. As DVB-T is not yet available where I live, the hybrid TV card is thus used as an Analog one only. Because I live near Germany I configured channels in SECAM and in PAL. Now my problem: Watching photos and films from my file server works really good. But I cannot start watching TV or the recorded TV. Here is what I did:

started Media Portal
clicked on TV
clicked on Channel and choosed one
Until then the TV view remains black and I cannot navigate into the menu anymore. CPU usage is at about 44% then. But closing the MediaPortal window works. Do you already had such an issue? Can you please help me to fix it? The main purpose of my HTPC is to replace my dead video tape recorder... I'm opened to any suggestion and thank all of you in advance for helping me. Neilos
