Im using the remote from the happauge win nova T-500 the card itself seems to run fine no problems the remote however seems to be behaving as a genral HID device and as such most of the basic buttons like pause back power and cursor work. Turing on/off the Hauppauge remote in the remote section seems to have no effect, while the status reports no problems found . It also seems the remote acts as a HID device outside media portal...

To be honest im not even sure where to start on diagnosing this problem so any help at all will be apreciated

Eventualy I got to the bottom of this. It seems just installing the IR drivers and Card drivers for the Happauge card is not enough to get the remote working fully as a Happauge remote. You must intall the offical Happauge winTV software to get it to work...

Hope this saves somone the hassle Ive been having

Hmmm, not the last 3 times i tried it, worked with just the driver, if i remember you need to reboot to get it fully working with just the ir32 installed.

Hmm that is strange, I was trying to solve this problem for about 2 or 3 weeks so I definitely rebooted in that time.
