Hauppage hvr-950 help? (1 Viewer)

I know this shouldn't be this hard and maybe I'm overthinking but I've been trying to get MediaPortal installed and talking to my HVR-950. I've searched and seen some other posts where either it apparently worked out of the box or the thread just died before an answer.

I think I'm just trying to get the basic TV widget to work not the TV Server. A quick install didn't leave configuration with an item for Capture cards but re-installing advanced did.

I can add a capture card. I see ATSB and it adds without error. However autotune scans but nothing is added. Then I see an NTSB also but selecting that gives me Unable to create graph for this device.

I saw the list of supported cards had a page for the HVR-900. Are these equivalent? That page discussed the Unable to Graph error but it shows some XML that is supposed to get rid of the error (yet leave you with No Signal it says ???).

If I try to use that XML as a replacement for capturecards.xml I get an error.

Can somebody give me a more simple recipe for getting this thing to hang together? Thanks in advance!

Can anyone even suggest any avenue I might follow to get my HVR-950 to function with MP?

I tried messaging a couple posters who mention having it running but evidently they aren't on the forum any longer if they have no trouble.

Any senior advisors out there?

I have the same USB stick. TV server will only detect things on the QAM tuner. Did you follow the instructions on the wiki about getting things going? You have to add them to a hybrid card.
