Hauppauge 45-button remote not working in MediaPortal (1 Viewer)

MediaPortal Version: 1.1.2.0
Windows Version: XP 32 SP3
CPU Type: AMD Sempron 140
TV Card: Hauppauge HVR 2250
Remote: Hauppauge 45-button

I have managed to set up and configure MediaPortal almost perfectly, only issue is the remote that came with the tuner card will not work. The remote works outside of MediaPortal, and when I go to learning within the configuration every button I push just registers as 0. I have tried everything I could think of, looked extensively over the forums and tried whatever I saw mentioned. Does anyone know any tricks or workarounds to get the remote working, or am I just totally missing something? At this point I am also willing to get another (cheap-ish) remote if I can be guaranteed it will install and work within MediaPortal with no or at least very (very) few problems. The remote's IR plugs directly into the tuner card, and all drivers are installed and functioning correctly. Like I said I have tried everything I could imagine and am totally at a loss, so I am just looking for any and all help or advice.

Just wanted to post and let everyone know the issue was resolved, turns out I actually had a trashy MCE remote, and even though I checked the box to use MCE it didn't work. I assumed that since it came with my Hauppauge card it was their remote, anyway I now got an official Hauppauge remote and it works 100% perfect right out of the box.

Is the hauppauge remote plugged in directly to the card by cinch or MCE remote via USB ?

I have the same problem...

I have the same TV card (Hauppauge 2250) and the same 45-button remote. It isn't working...

It works great in Windows MC and I have all the drivers installed and the "use hauppauge remote" checked.

After I load up MP and try to use the remote all that happens is a clicking sound. MP senses the remote but nothing happens except for clicking.

Anyone? Thanks.

Edit:

BTW, the remote works out of the box with my laptop's ir receiver in Mediaportal.

I just can't get it working with the Hauppauge receiver that plugs into the back of the card (works in media center though).

Would submitting logs help with this problem? Thanks.
