hauppauge 45 button remote not working (1 Viewer)

i'm wondering if someone could help.

I've recently got a hauppauge nova t 500 dual tuner pci card with the 45 button remote. i installed the hauppauge remote drivers ir32.exe from mediaportal (Hauppauge IR components V2.49.23332)
then meant i could now tick the box to select the remote in MP config.

The problem i'm having is that only some of the buttons seem to be working (ie up down left right and ok).

the back/exit button doesn't work and neither does the home, tv, radio etc buttons

i've read that the Hauppauge remotes should just work out of the box, am i doing something wrong?

basically, don't use the suggested ones they have linked in the remote drivers section on the mediaportal site. Use the new one from hauppauge's site and all is well
