Hi,

I have MCE installed with these two TV cards working and detected in MCE, Hauppauge HVR-1100LP MCE and a AVerMedia DVB-T A16A MCE.

I'm keen to try MP as I'm finding MCE too restrictive in the way it hides whats going on under the covers.

I can get MP to detect the AVerMedia but it can't find the Hauppauge. MCE services are all stopped.

Reading the Wiki I got the impression the Hauppauge 1100 was supported, but I do note the card listed does not contain the LP model code (which I thought was just low profile) ??

Anything you have to do to make the Hauppauge card detected? Is the MCE drivers good enough or do I need others?

Cheers,

Grant

Grab the latest code release (just the last rar) from here...

Your card should work with that.

Just FYI, the HVR cards are hybrid cards, hence you can only use either digital or the analogue functionality. You cannot use both at the same time as it only has 1x tuner.
With this in mind you should also disable EPG grabbing if you plan to add both card functionalities to your MediaPortal setup.

Note: HVR-1100 software encodes for analogue, so a powerful CPU is required.
