I have MP set up and am trying to get my tv working with some difficulty. my tuner card is a hauppauge WinTV-HVR-3000. I receive error messages like "Failed to start tv, Unable to create graph" and when scanning for channels it finds nothing. i have looked around to see if my card is supported and how to configure my tv but have had no luck finding anything. I also recevie a radio error message saying "All tuners are busy" when i start MP?
Any help or documentation would be greatly appreciated.

Yea i have tried to manually enter the channel frequencies but it hasnt helped. i downloaded the XML files for tv / radio configuration download under system utils on MP website thinking maybe that would help except it asks for your service provider (believe that is tv service provider which i am unsure of in nz, think its like telstra is cables service provider but not sure???).

well i took my hvr-3000 back to the shop and swapped it for the 150MCE as the guy there that specializes in the media centers said he hasnt been able to get it going either and offered to swap cos he knows the 150MCE works mint as hes got it at home working real mint. and hes right this card works mint havnt had any probs just chuck the card in, install drivers and scan for the channels.
the guy told me he thinks the 3000 doesnt do analoge tv, it says it does analoge cable tv but if i plug bunny ears into the card it finds no channels yet when plugged into the wall finds channels fine??? we have a sky dish so maybe its receiving its channels through there??? dont no ay.
Problem solved for me, still doesnt help you tho.

I have managed to get my satellite DVB-S component of my HVR-3000 working without too much fuss - just followed the instructions here : http://mcraenz.googlepages.com/home

However, haven't been able to get analog tv or radio functions to work with MP tvserver - analog tuner shows up but I get an error about "no audio/video stream", even though it appears to detect channels when scanning for them.

Hi

I understand from other posts that there are issues with the analogue part of WinTV HVR-3000/4000s in MediaPortal. I believe this is partly due to the fact that the analogue tuner does software encoding to mpeg unlike the PVR-150/500 that use hardware on the card to do the encoding.

That is the main reason I have a pair of HVR-4000s for DVB-S and a PVR-500 for the analogue channels I need (they are currently encrypted on DVB-S). The cards used in this set up work fine for me in a single seat TVE3/MediaPortal set-up.

I'm using a HVR3000 with MediaPortal, but only the DVB-S part works. I don't really mind because that's all I can get at the moment where I am, but when DVB-T is available I'll be wanting to use that as well, so hopefully MP will support the DVB-T part of this card before too long. I don't really care about analogue, I'll just use the VHS machine for that for the couple of years until it's turned off.

Has anybody managed to get MP to detect the DVB-T side of an HVR3000?
