Hi,

I decided to get a Hauppauge MCE remote to use with MP.

I am having considerable trouble trying to get this remote to work properly with the built in MP MCE remote function.

In particular, the navigation buttons, volume control and OK button don't work whereas other ancillary buttons appear to work fine.

I'm a little lost what to do, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try the IRRS Plugin....

the haup has built in support under mp, no need to use the mce remote section at all,
i did find that careful editing of the hauppage.xml was required to remove support for the remotes than my 45 button type helped a lot

can you be more specific where to activate or configure this built in support for the haup MCE remote?

That Hauppauge remote with usb receiver, afaik is a full RC6 clone of the original philips\microsoft one and should show up in device manager as ehome receiver, see picture below.
