    Hi lilmale1

We need logs please. Follow the instructions in the link in my signature - it is really easy:

    1. Find and open the "debug mode" link in the MediaPortal folder in your MediaPortal start menu folder.
    2. Use option 3 to zip up all logs. By default, the zip file will be put on your desktop.
    3. Post the logs here.

    Hi again lilmale1

Changing to MySQL is unlikely to help. MediaPortal.xml holds your MediaPortal settings. The fact that they can't be found indicates that your installation might not have gone smoothly. In any case, you should be able to get the TV Server logs by going the log files shortcut in the TV Server subfolder of your MediaPortal start menu folder. On XP that will take you to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\log\. On Vista or 7 it will be C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\log\. Zip up the whole log folder and post it here...

    Hi again

"Standard" depends on where you live. Here in NZ, standard is 10750, 10750, 0. In Europe it is 9750, 10600, 11700 (ku Linear Universal). In America I'm not really sure. That is why I said it depends what LNB you have. Try scanning with each of these frequencies in the first box:

    9750
    10600
    10700
    10750
    11250
    11300

Leave the second and third boxes (LOF 2, LNBSW) as 0 for the moment...

C:\ProgramData is a hidden folder. You can enable viewing of hidden and system files by doing following these instructions. It would be much easier if you used the shortcut in your start menu though...
