I saw in the Hauppauge forum configurations for WinTV (http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=7305) and though it was a good idea so if anyone has any configurations for Hauppauge and Media Portal (or any other for that matter) please post them here please.
For those that don't know what I am talking about - I am talking about changes made in C:\WINDOWS\Irremote.ini to make the Hauppauge 43 button remote work for other applications like Media Portal.
For example to power-up Media Portal with your Hauppauge Remote put the following line
GRNPOWER={run(C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MediaPortal.exe)}
in C:\WINDOWS\Irremote.ini under the [default] section
NOTE: make a backup of Irremote.ini before you alter the file, in case you make a mistake you can revert back to the old one.
I should add that it changed my entry to:
GRNPOWER={run("c:\progra~1\teamme~1\mediap~1\media portal.exe")}
because windows does not like long filenames
