Hauppauge Remote Picks up the TV remotes signals etc (1 Viewer)

Argh this annoys me to death. Everytime that I have Mediaportal running on my HTPC and I want to turn up the volume on the tv change to the xbox etc mediaportal picks up the IR signals and interprets them for something.

I'm currently using the Hauppauge Remote for Mediaportal and works a dream except for this slight annoyance

I have the same problem to, but only with the Remote to my H/K Receiver. Did not get any answers when a posted a topic about that.

One thing I've found out lately (but have not tested because the receiver is currently not working = being repared), is that if you take a copy of Hauppauge HWC.xml from c:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\InputDeviceMappings\defaults to C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\InputDeviceMappings (Vista - mappings), and try to remove/edit some sections and then maybee not all codes are accepted.

I did that yesterday and it worked! I have a 45-buttom remote and removed the 34 and 21 (?) button sections from the file and all the problems were gone. I made a copy of the file (for backup) and edited it in the same place as I found it.
