i think that the first one is like the second plus video input ,isnt it?

the trouble is that the first one has two tuner boxes, and the second one has only one, but in both cases it says they are dual tunner.

please tell me which one is the recommended you are using cause i have checked in "my system" of a lot of users and they have this one.:D

1 is for analogue (s-video from STBs or "old antenna")
    2 is for digital terrestrial broadcasts (DVB-T). (DVB-S = satellite, DVB-C = cable)

Not sure if it is ideal for all parts of Europe. Some models will not work right with MPEG4 (which is what is being used here in Norway). Don't know about this card, though.

All DVB-T cards will accept MPEG4 as a transmission stream, it's just that the decoding is done by the PC, not the card with the correct codec installed.

Most of these cards come with software for MPEG4 encoding\decoding anyway, oops that raises the hardware stakes again.

Now need to do some research into onboard MPEG4 decoding, not actually given it much thought and do not even know if there is a DVB card with mpeg4 built in, as cannot remember reading this in any specifications.

Maybe that is why some DVB-T cards are advertised as HDTV such as the Dvico.

The Guy's who live around crystal palace transmitter London are able to receive HD with the right codec.

i dont know if it will be ideal (as u say) for spain, but i have checked some shops here and they all sell it, plus in hauppague SPAIN is also listed.

the mpeg4 thing u mention, i dont know how it works or how to check it, so unless someone has tried it here and says it worked, i dont know what to do.

    thanks

    Hi, Gixxer.

I have a NOVA-T-500 PCI from a seven days, and i'm very happy with this one. My old's cards are Hauppauge 1100 and Lifeview Flyvideo Hybrid (this one is not supported natively by MP), and my new NOVA-T is perfect. In Almussafes (Valencia, Spain), the record quality is the best of all my cards, and i'm recording two programs perfectly with a P4 3.0, 1Gb Ram and 320Gb Udma Seagate harddisk.

If you want more info, write me at anamkae@gmail.com.

    regards.
