What am I doing wrong? I do see posts where people managed to configure WinTV HVR 4000 with MediaPortal but I have never managed to get it working. With RC3 I get a "new" error different from that in the previous version.
Scanning the programs seems to work fine... both Sattelite dvb-S, S2 and also dvb T . but I can't view or preview any of the channels. When I go to the MyTV section I receive this error.

"tvp info

unable to start timeshifting
no free card available"

Please, if someone can help me I'd really appreciate it!

I have managed to install and make it working with hvr4000. Just make sure, that you have .net 1, 1.1, 2 and this patch: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...ner-issue-channel-scan-crash-windows-xp-6344/
it is always worth of checking the requirements...
It was working fine for a while, but nowadays I'm getting the "Unable to start timeshifting, No Audio/Video found" message and unable to use the tv.
DVBViewer just works fine on the same hw.

Hi cipga

I use a pair of HVR-4000s in TV Server but I only use the DVB-T tuners at present and have the other tuners disabled. These work fine in Vista x86.

To use all the tuners I assume that you have configured this as a hybrid card in TV Server (see TV-Server/Configuration/TVServers/HybridCards - MediaPortal Manual Documentation) as only one of the tuners (DVB-S/S2, DVB-T or analogue) can be used at once?

This may not be the problem but I thought I would make the suggestion.

Thanks, mew

I managed to make it work ...for a while. Media portal still seems pretty buggy to me. I frequently get errors.
