Synopsis::

When I launch myTV, I get a 'failed to start timeshifting' error. Also, when managing my tv card in the setup, i get a 'can not create graph for this device' error.

What model of Hauppauge card is it? WinTV is just the product line, they still have a lot of different models.

Here is what it tells me in the product info tool. I bought this comp second hand and the person was not sure of the exact model...

Also, the video and teletext do work on the WinTV 2000 program.

Do you see something like PVR-150 or PVR-500 or something written on the card? By the BT878 provided above I tend to think its not a hardware card. If this is the case you will need a software mpeg2 encoder which is what the log is reporting as missing.

What is a good software mpeg 2 encoder. Its an older type card. Not a PVR-150. Its based on the 878 board from what i know now

Dont know of any 'good' ones so to speak as Ive never used one but Hauppauge seem to supply a free one which might work as you have a hauppauge card. http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/pages/support/support_mce.html
