I'm running 1.2.3 on W7. Earlier today I muted the TV (which we rarely watch on this machine) when the phone rang. My non-tech-savy husband got impatient and tried to get the sound back. I'm not sure what he did but I couldn't unmute afterwards. Even recording no longer had any sound. I thought there was a box that I brought up on bottom right that offered options including mute but now it doesn't seem to exist. I uninstalled mp and TV server and reinstalled. It now has sound when recording but still not when on TV (though it does have sound in TV-Server configuration channel preview). I assume a setting to display these options has been turned off but I don't know where. Can anyone help, please? Thanks

Use the TV remote to toggle mute on/off and decrease or increase the TV's volume.
Use the "m" keyboard key to toggle mute on/off within MediaPortal.
Use the -/_ and =/+ keyboard keys to decrease or increase volume within MediaPortal.
Use the Windows master volume control to manage all other sound settings including master volume level:

Thanks, the remote wasn't having any effect and the madter volume control wasn't the problem. But the "m" key works beautifully.
