I have problems with the HD channels. When I go to a HD channel I don't see anything, I only hear the channel. And sometimes I have to restart MP client because it is hanging.

Do I have to install somekind of codec I don't have? Please help!

Hi,

I use Powerdvd8 or Coreavc and have never tried ffdshow for h264. Either you could give one of those a try, or, if you prefer a free option, https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/codecs-external-players-55/stand-alone-filters-mediaportal-44614/ .

I am experiencing the same problem with ffdshow and HD-channels.

With the Microsoft-Decoder it works. Do you have any possible solution how to get the ffdshow-codec to working? Thanks a lot!

I had a similar issue (as reported here). My system, which at face value appears similar performance-wise to yours, is at the lower edge of workable for HD.

What worked for me was:
1. Cut out any unneccessary processes that are using CPU.
2. Play with codecs (I used SAF as recommended here).
3. Biggest improvement: use a simple skin like the default blue. StreamedMP and others just don't run well on my machine.
