    Hi,

My cable provider is going to start transmitting some select content in HD. This is going to be sent over DVB-C, and as far as i understand its going to be in MPEG-2. I found a channel marked "HDemo" on my last autotune, and when tuning to it i noticed a *VERY* high image quality, and that it had "HD" logo in the corner. Im pretty sure this is a HD test channel.

What i also noticed was a consistent 90-100% CPU usage and some 'nice' stuttering consistent with such a high CPU usage :)

My system details are in my sig.

I tried different decoders as well as turning de-interlacing off in the settings inside MP(im not sure they apply to all codecs though) but my CPU usage wouldnt come down :)

I seem to remember something about dxva being disabled recently, is that why the CPU usage is soo high, or is it simply that HD MPEG-2 is too demanding for my system?
