Some people don't play games or anything else on their HTPCs. These people are building their own personal TiVo. This means all they need is good playback performance. And if that means a cheaper card that doesn't do games well, then so be it. An 8500 probably doesn't even need a heat sink. Also, then a faster CPU isn't needed. The HTPC can be smaller and quieter. I personally, don't fit that mold, but I understand it.</blockquote>
