HD videos speed up randomly (1 Viewer)

CPU Type: Athlon X2 2.1 GHz
HDD: 500GB SATA
Memory: 2GB

When playing most, and I'm pretty sure it's on all of the ones I've tried, HD Videos (mkv's) thought mediaportal, they randomly speed up during play. Like the framerate is jumping from the 24fps to 30fps then back down to normal again.

Has anyone run into this problem? If I run it in an external player like VLC or MPC, it works fine. Any suggestions, i'm kinda bummed

I experience this too, but only occasionally, maybe 3 or 4 times during a movie.

mine usually is prempted by a 'pause' then it seems like it speeds up to catch up to the audio track...

I use reclock to solve this issue.

I tried ReClock but I get an error saying "ReClock is not compatible with your audio chipset. Please either uninstall..." Any suggestions?

It seems to happen no matter what, it just speeds up for a split second every 5 seconds or so. Any way to lock the framerate?

IMHO I think it's a buffering issue and if I could increase some buffer it may fix it. I installed my GeForce 7900GS but that didn't seem to help.
