I am both people! ;) Sorry, I don't mean to be confusing. What I said was if a channel is really encrypted then you're not going to be able to use your HDHR to view it. I stand by that. Assuming your TV doesn't have a CableCARD or some other means to decrypt channels, I also stand by my statement: anything that can be received by your TV can be received by your HDHomeRun. I am since I'm both people. :) More seriously, there are two possibilities that I can think of as to why you're not seeing the channels you're looking for:

If you haven't scanned correctly then there's a possibility the channels you're looking for simply haven't been picked up.
There's a slim possibility TV Server hasn't correctly detected the encryption status for the channels. In other words, they'd be in your list but incorrectly marked as encrypted.
If I were you I would delete all channels and start over fresh, following the recommendations in the wiki. This in particular: http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_MEDIAPORTAL_1/141_Configuration/TV-Server_Configuration/02_TV_Servers/7b_Scan_ATSC#QAM_tuning_frequencies In other words:

Delete the channels from the TV Channels and Radio Channels sections.
Start a new scan with mode set to "clear QAM cable" and frequency plan "QAM standard".
Let the scan run all the way through. It should take about 20 minutes.
If you still don't see your channels with that scan, the other things you could do that would help are:

Tell us your zip code so we can look up the TW lineup for your area. This will [hopefully] allow us to figure out the real names for "Unknown..." channels.
Post your log files so we can double check what you're seeing.

Open TV Server configuration.
Click "open log directory" in the top left corner.
Zip up all the files in that folder and post/attach the zip file here.

mm
