The thing with HDMI is that ALL your devices would need to be HDMI 1.3 or the whole chain defaults to the lowest in the chain.The other thing is the HDMI 1.3 is for deep colour and the extra audio bandwidth of the new audio formats. Arguably these aren't much different to what you can hear over HDMI 1.2 or 1.1There are currently no deep color devices around anyway.It is a step in the right direction though as it has only been possible to get the new audio formats over analogue.
