HDMI connections needs to be unplugged before each HTPC use (1 Viewer)

I'm having a strange issue with my HTPC setup that is driving me insane.

Anytime I turn my system on to use the HTPC, nothing displays on the screen until I unplug the HDMI connection from the PC, and plug it back in after a second - then everything works just fine. I do notice that sometimes MediaPortal is fucked up though, but a restart of the app works fine. If mediaportal is screwed up, it displays as the top left 3/4 of the screen - I can see my desktop around it on the bottom and right sides of the screen.

My setup is

Cable Box (via HDMI)
HTPC (via HDMI + Toslink)
to
Denon AVR-591
to
Vizio 55" LCD (via hdmi)

The HTPC is on 24/7, no standby modes, no power down settings. It has a GeForce 210 if it matters any. The AVR is powered down along with the TV and Cable box each use (via Harmony Remote).

    Hi Elderain

Sounds like HDMI handshaking issues. There is little that MP can do about that as it really comes down to the communication between the video card driver and the TV and/or receiver. See -->this thread<-- for some tips for how to resolve the 3/4 screen issues.
