I am trying to add support for my TV tuner, it is an ASUS U3000 and I have tried to follow the wiki guide but mediaportal setup still says no tuners found. the XML
I added this XML code to the bottom of the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file (just before the closing </capturecards>)
<capturecard commercialname="DVB-T ASUS U3000 Mini BDA Digital Tuner (Dev1 Path0)" capturename="DVB-T ASUS U3000 Mini BDA Digital Tuner (Dev1 Path0)" devid="vid_0b05&pid_171f">
<capabilities tv="true" radio="false" mpeg2="true" mce="false" sw="false" bda="true" />
<tv>
<interface cat="tunerdevice" video="2" audio="3" mpeg2="1" sectionsandtables="5" />
<filters>
<filter cat="networkprovider" name="Microsoft DVBT Network Provider" checkdevice="false" />
<filter cat="tunerdevice" name="ASUS My Cinema-U3000" checkdevice="true" />
</filters>
<connections>
<connection sourcefilter="networkprovider" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="tunerdevice" sinkpin="0" />
</connections>
</tv>
</capturecard>
what is required for it to detect in the first place? what is the "Capturename"? I used the name as reported by the mediaportal TVserver, it detects and runs the tuner fine but is just so riddled with bugs and unimplemented features at the moment.
