Hello all, my name is Phil and while Im new to Media Portal and PC MEDIA subject I'm good with PC's

This is a build in progress so please don't laugh at the equipment as I shall be updating as I go!

PC 2.4 P4
Windows XP SP3
WinTV-PVR-150
ATI AIW VE graphics

yes i know but Im building out of old bits due to lack of cash

So the problem,

Card works great in everything except MediaPortal, as soon as I turn the TV to ON, everything slows to about 1-2 FPS including the interface.

I have tried everything but I'll have to shout for help here !!!

DX9? maybe but it shows no problems from the dxdiag side of things

It wont show any DX errors

You could get away with everything bar the graphics, you need at least a nvidia fx5200 or ati 9600 card for everything to work smoothly.

I fail to understand?

Media Portal works fine until I employ the capture card, then and only then does it slow down. This is why I cannot understand your reply - it works fine, switch the telle on and poof!

What is your cpu usage and available system memory when turning on tv? That should tell you everything you need to know.
