Help I de-installed "very old TV engine" by accident. (1 Viewer)

Hello,
as the title tells, I have de-installed my "old Tv-engine" and no I have no picture anymore.
I can't get the installer to re-install the engine.
Do I have to install the driver again or what?

And what does this message, attached as screenshot mean???

The first message means that your old installation of TV Server has been removed.
Atfer this the new TV Server should be installed on your system.

If not because of errors (see your second screeny) check the WIKI out GeneralRequirements - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation

You need the dvbfix as stated, if you uninstall TVServer + plugin, you will then have access to the old TVEngine which is built in to MP.

I de-installed Media portal and Media Portal TV Server client
via the windows software Manager.
Was that the right thing?
And re-installed it, but again the old tv engine is stated as removed.

By de-installing the TvServer+Plug-in did you mean the whole package?

yes, you can uninstall all via the windows software manager.

I don't understand your problem.

1. uninstall all
2. check the wiki of requirements (fullfill the requirements!!!)
3. install MP RC1
4. start TVServer Configuration...scan for channels what ever...
5. start MP client

Again the prob:
MediaPortal worked already. (by using the "old TV-engine" I think...)
I de-installed it rebootet and installed it again as custom installation.
(Because I thought I could handle the sound delay this way.)
There is displayed I de-installed the old Tv engine, as it is shown with green characters I thought: fine.
But as I started TV server to import my channels I always get the Notice that my Audio/Video device can't be detected.
So that it appears to me that the programm can't find the driver or else this way...
When I click on preview channel I get the Sound of the channel but no picture.
(And yes I already tried it with several codec configurations.)

I have checked the requirements and installed the dvbfix.

But now I begin to think about that it also could be a problem outside MP,
every time I reboot since 2 month I get a dialog that there would be a unhandlable problem caused
by my tvcard. (I once used Pinnacle Media Center, but since i did a firmware update it chrashes all the time)

i checked your eventlog and within there are a lot of errors. Your Pinnacle installation seems to be broken :-(

Ok, if you experienced in computers, fix it, otherwise reinstall your complete system.

Without a stable base, MP will never get anywhere :-(

Yes you could

I googled one of the system warnings from my pinnacle media centre
and got to now that the problem seems to be a bad driver(official one).
In another forum one claimed that the driver version/program which I share set the language region to zero.
(which was formerly 49 for Germany.)
That causes in Windows Framework a crash because framework expects the cart to have 49.

Sounds confusing but to be short: Pinnacle programmed a bad driver/patch. (What a scam!!!)

I sure could reinstall my whole system, but the problem will re-appear after a while that's for sure...
(Which was the reason why I hoped MP could be a good soplution as a 3rd party programm).
So I decide to buy a new tvcard with onboard encoder, I have wasted enough energy on it.
(I hope a new should be affordable, because I don't need HD content. Nor DVB-T 'cause I don't get private TV stations)

You guys make a really good job with MP.
