HELP!!!! missing 1/2 buttons after update to 0.2.3 (1 Viewer)

Hi,
after some month with MP 0.2.3 RC2 and MCE replacement "old version"
I've just updated to MP 0.2.3 and to the new version of MCE replacement (rel 28-10-07), with a complete fresh install (I've deleted all files and setting from previous install)

The strange thing is that now the remote recognize only 1/2 buttons, to be precise the ones mapped under "MCE replacement driver", I mean numbers, cursors, OK, PC power.....
The other keys , like volume, play, rec, tv guide and so on doesn't work, also if the receiver blinks
Macro, basting and other it's OK,
I've also tried some combination of settigs for Microsot hdir servce and MCE service, but without success: I'm noing something wrong?

My OS is XP-MCE, if this can be useful

In the plugin reset your button mappings, it sounds like you've removed the "replacement driver mappings" at some point.

thanks for the very quick answer,
unfortuantely the "repalcement driver mappings" buttons are the only one working,
what is not working are all the others button (teletex, ordianry, and so on....)

I've tryed reset mappings, uninstall, with deleting all the MCE folder in "All Users", fresh install and... nothing

the remote works completely both with Media Center or MPortal with standard MCE remote support... ... and it used to work with my previous intallation of MCE replacement (I guess it was one from august.....)

maybe some other setting can be corrupted?

It could be that you've damaged the default mappings file ... in the mediaportal inputmappings folder. Try removing it and reinstalling the plugin.

Hi,
finally I solved the problem gong back of acouple of weeks with norton Ghost and upgradinga gain to 0.2.3 final and MCE repalcement 28-10-07 now seems to work.

The only strange thing is that the rmote gives double clicks now (it behaves like the internal MCE remote support in MP where enabled but actually it isn't)... maybe at the end it's only a bead luck moment.... :-(

ok, well now try either removing the replacement driver mappings, or disable the hidir service (but not both).

That should fix the repeated buttons.

Hi Aaron,
after completing all the reinst've axperienced again the same problems, both with MCE repalcement 28-10, IR server suite and the june release of the plugin, but this time I KNOW how this is appening.

There's a confict between the Mplayer plugin (the one for the palyer, not the GUI plugin) and all the versions of MCE repalcement listeds above: if this plugin is disabled everithig goes well, if it's enabled only the keys manged by mclir (cursors, numbers and OK)

I'm sending a message to misterd also (autor of mymplayer plugin).. I hope one day my 2 favorites plugin of MP will able to "live" together .....
