Help On Setting up (1 Viewer)

Hi , Im a new full time user ( used to use meedio since it was myhtpc (longtime)) don't use it now as i couldnot get my dvb-t card to work,
anyways I just need find out a couple of things

1. I have lots (and lots) of home videos stored in main folder (then inside other folders) just need to know the best way to handle these
2. For the movie imports (getting covers and info etc ) can the importer use the folder name (which is named correctly ) or does it have to use the file (avi name)
which mine are named incorrectly i.e ( instead of say Saw II , most of my movies are listed by the imdb number first e.g tt0432348SawII.avi)
will i have to go through my entire collection and rename them ????

1. You can point the "My Movies" folder to the top level folder of your movies, and MediaPortal will allow you to browse down through the folder structure.

2. It can use either.

when i run the import it seems to only get info for the ones that have the correct full name only ?

also for my home movies how do i add a seperate menu in the main menu for home movies?

are you using moving pictures for movies? if so, you will need to specify a script to correctly read you directory structure, or rename the files to uit one of the supplied scripts.

I have pretty much got my movies working ,
just need help on setting up home movies which are in one folder with multiple folders below that
