I'm new at this so please bare with me. Many questions and the guides are not helping.
1. Media portal does not see my Hauppauge HVR 2250 tuner card. I am able to watch tv with the software that came with the card (WinTV).
2. Must tv server be running even if i plan on watching tv on the computer that the software and hardware is installed on ? If yes, i cannot launch microsoft sql server! The provided user id it GAVE me is sa and i believe i read that the password is mediaportal.
I get the following message:
Connection Failed!
A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred durning the login process. (provider: Shared memory provider, error: 0 - No process is on the other end of the pipe.)
