Ongoing Help Wanted from Europeans - Hauppauge PVR500 and MCE Remote (1 Viewer)

Hi all

After a couple of years in the community playing with the software, I thought hey it's Christmas let's build this dedicated HTPC!

Over here in New Zealand, most parts are pretty well priced and easily sourced, but for two - the Hauppauge PVR500 MCE and the European MCE Remote.

Here the Happauge card seems rather expensive - around 176 Euros shipped to my door. How does this compare with prices over there?

The other problem is sourcing a European MCE 2005 Remote (4 coloured buttons!), all I've been able to find in New Zealand is the American version.

Does anyone know of any stores that can help me out?

Hi Brocklander,

got my PVR500 MCE for about 150 Euros.
A lot of online shops offer the European MCE 2005 Remote for prices from Euro 30,- to 40,-, but at least in Austria i don't know anyone shipping to New Zealand.
