Hello everybody!
TOday i've found my wife's old TV tuner and I decided to give it a try. It's a PixelView USB Hybrid, which runs a Conexant Polaris chip. Either way, I installed MediaPortal and did the hybrid card configuration. I'm also able to scan for HD channels, but no matter what I do I can't scan the analog ones. I always get the following error:
"Please install a supported audio/video encoder for your software analog card"
I've already tried installing some Microsoft encoder that came with the installation disc and NVidia's PureVideo encoders to no avail.
By the way, here are the specs of my rig: Intel Core i5 / 4GB DDR3 / GeForce GT 730M / Windows 8

One last thing I almost forgot, I'm able to scan the analog channels using a bundled software called VentiTV, however it is an ABYSMAL piece of software and I reeeeeeally prefer MediaPortal over it.
