Hi!

I'm new here. Just installed mediaportal. I have a DiBCom DIB7700 DTV tuner. It works perfect with Windows Media Center.

But I try with mediaportal configuration -> TV -> capture cards and I get a 'no video capture card' message.

Anyone has the solution? How to add this card to the mediaportal config?

Thanks in advance and sorry for my ignorance.

Javier

I am trying to follow steps explained in
Add TVCard to natively supported list - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation

According to that, I added this lines in the file 'capturecarddefinitions.xml':

<capturecard commercialname="DiBcom BDA Digital Tuner (Dev1 Path0)" capturename="DiBcom BDA Digital Capture (Dev1 Path0)" devid="vid_1164&pid_1f08">
<capabilities tv="true" radio="true" mpeg2="true" mce="true" sw="true" bda="true"></capabilities>
<tv>
<interface cat="capture" video="3" audio="4" mpeg2="1" sectionsandtables="2"></interface>
<filters>
<filter cat="networkprovider" name="Microsoft DVBT Network Provider" checkdevice="false"></filter>
<filter cat="tunerdevice" name="DiBcom BDA Digital Tuner (Dev1 Path0)" checkdevice="false"></filter>
<filter cat="capture" name="DiBcom BDA Digital Capture (Dev1 Path0)" checkdevice="false"></filter>
</filters>
<connections>
<connection sourcefilter="networkprovider" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="tunerdevice" sinkpin="0"></connection>
<connection sourcefilter="tunerdevice" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="capture" sinkpin="0"></connection>
</connections>
</tv>
</capturecard>

Now, when I try with MediaPortal Configuration program, I can add the capture card but something must be wrong, since if try to 'edit' the card settings I get a message: "Unable to create graph for this device!".
Even more, if I execute MediaPortal and try to go to TV, I get the message "Cannot add filter DiBcom BDA Digital Tuner (Dev1 Path0)"

And that's all for the moment...

When you add the Tuner filter into Graphedit, is the name of it "DiBcom BDA Digital Tuner (Dev1 Path0)" Including the Dev1 Path0 part? Also, is that the entire moniker string? Is there no "ven_xxx" part? Also, i dont think you need to add the "networkprovider" filter part. Last, im not sure you need the connections part, but then i've never set up a DVB-x card either. OK last last, did you have Graphedit open when you tried to edit the card settings, or when you went to TV? Because if there is any application, i.e. Graphedit, that is open and has the filters in use, no other program will be able to access them, which may be why you got the errors you got. Make sense?
