First off, Great program cant wait to use it fully when i can get it to work with my HDTV card.

MediaPortal recognizes (in the television configuration section) my card as a "DVICO FusionHDTV-T-Hybrid" which it is and list "Television TRUE, Recoding TRUE". But that’s about it. I tried to scan for the TV channels and finds NIL.

From the support list the FustionHDTV hybrid isn’t supported yet.

I tried to follow the instructions of providing details about the filters using graphedit
but I cant join the FusionHDTV,BDA tuner to the other filter which comes up as "Fusion HDTV, Transport Stream capture"

HELP, HELP, HELP, HELP, HELP, HELP

Don't believe what you see on "Supported TVCards" page

Hi buzza

Let me tell you a tale  . I bought a hybrid "Lifeview FlyDVB TRIO" card, that is NOT in the list of supported cards listed on http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/Supported_TVCard_Hybride

Then, I followed steps of http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/Add_TVCard_to_natively_supported_list and when editing "CaptureCardDefinitions.xml" file, I discovered my "moniker" was included  , but last digit (rev01) was distinct. But my card name was there too!!!. I only change that digit and MP detected my hybrid card (still working to get to recognize my DVB-S moniker).

So, I think:
  1. You must search your card name or moniker (or first part of it) on the XML file
  2. MediaPortal page Webmaster should be replace "Supported TVCards" page by
"CaptureCardDefinitions.xml" file, cause it seems do not update it based on that file.

I hope this help you

I must say I 've had a very hard time finding the following issue:

Inside the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file, the monikers have the ampersands followed by "amp;". In order to make it work, after copying and pasting the moniker I had to replace the ampersands by "&" or MediaPortal wouldn't recognize my card.

You could verify our post content, dman_lfc

:sorry: , I'm sorry about this message, but I can't believe what you said, dman.
In my post for "buzza", I told that my card is listed in "CaptureCardDefinitions.xml" file but not in "http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/Supported_TVCards" page. So that page is not up to date  . I think someone is not doing his job correctly.

So, "An updated list is maintained ::here::" is not true .

Ciao

In latest version of MP you don't need to touch XML file on depending of your Trio version. That's great ... however MP only detect my Analog and DVB-T tuners. DVB-S tuner is not detected.
