Don't believe what you see on "Supported TVCards" page Hi buzza Let me tell you a tale :bitch: . I bought a hybrid "Lifeview FlyDVB TRIO" card, that is NOT in the list of supported cards listed on http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/Supported_TVCard_Hybride Then, I followed steps of http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/Add_TVCard_to_natively_supported_list and when editing "CaptureCardDefinitions.xml" file, I discovered my "moniker" was included :o , but last digit (rev01) was distinct. But my card name was there too!!!. I only change that digit and MP detected my hybrid card (still working to get to recognize my DVB-S moniker). So, I think:

You must search your card name or moniker (or first part of it) on the XML file
MediaPortal page Webmaster should be replace "Supported TVCards" page by "CaptureCardDefinitions.xml" file, cause it seems do not update it based on that file.
I hope this help you
