help with some menu changes (1 Viewer)

hi,
for 2 days i uses avalon as my new skin and i like it. but i would make some changes on the menu und buttons.
first i want to change the "shutdown" button function to "hinbernatemode" is this possible?
And i want so add some submenu vor f9 (context menu) and f3 (file info) because my remote controlle doens't have this keys and i dont want so man shortcuts ( stupid familiy ).

I don't think these requests are possible with "pure" skinning. I would like the option to set the power button to hibernate as well - I will investigate a bit more.

Found it. You can set the action attribute of the button to the right value. It is currently set at 99, which will prompt you for the shutdown action. You can change it to be any of the following (you will find this in the BasicHome.exitmenu.xml or myHome.exitmenu.xml), your other requests should be possible as well.

ACTION_POWER_OFF = 991, // direct action rather than through ACTION_SHUTDOWN dialog menu
ACTION_SUSPEND = 992, // direct action rather than through ACTION_SHUTDOWN dialog menu
ACTION_HIBERNATE = 993, // direct action rather than through ACTION_SHUTDOWN dialog menu

It still confirms the choice, but better than having the family power down your htpc and missing recordings ;-)

The Actions for Menu & File Info are:
ACTION_CONTEXT_MENU = 106, and
ACTION_SHOW_INFO = 11,

You can add new menu items in the hiddenmenu.xml file(s). Be careful that you have to set the key navigation options (down, left, etc).

It is possible to hide the mediaportal version in the left hand corner?
And it is possible to add some tabs for forecast and so on in the world weather plugin?
because if i select my town and then the weather forecast it always show a big satelit picture and smal forecast and humidity pictures, but it isnt posible to pic this pictures out, and show it in bigger size.

sure, all skin elements can be found in the xml files - I just don't know where the version is, you would need to check the files.

There is a different skin file for the World Weather plugin in the Mods thread - it has one picture per view. Even though, I am thinking about updating the avalon (& avalonis) world weather plugin skin to the new version if I find some time.
