Help with TV Guide Information (1 Viewer)

I'm hoping someone can give me some guidance. I've set up media portal and everything seems to be working except the TV Listings function. I can't seem to get them to come up with anything. It keeps telling me that data isn't available.

Can anyone walk me through setting up the listings. Thanks.

How are you getting your tv guide, from the program stream or from the internet.

So we need more information about your TV reception, is it dvb\c\s\t or atsc, maybe even analogue transmissiopn, also your Country information would help even more to get you on the right path to get a full program guide.

Which is better? I live in Washignton, DC and have comcast (non-digital) cable. I'd rather get it online, but I can do either.

Any guidance or walk through?

Since you are in the states, I suggest using the Schedules Direct plugin.

While the plugin is free, the service is $20 per year. I am cheap, quite cheap. But this is VERY worth it. I tried using xml parsing with websites but they were not always 100% successful because the website was wrong or formats changed and that aggravated me.

I went to this and it works like a charm. However, if you have the same channel but from different sources (ie ABC in Digital OTA, Digital Cable and Analog Cable), you will need to modify the database, well at least I had to in order to assign the same EPG to different channels.

I have a problem with the display of the TV Guide: it displays only the programs starting from the current time until the end. Even if I change my days the same thing happens.
Can you help me?
