Well like I mentioned, just having a placeholder image for all movies without a cover is already possible. You might be able to get some better advice from the skinning sub forum, but you are probably wanting to change the images for these two properties on the facade:

[CODE]        <imageFolder>image.png</imageFolder>

        <imageFolderFocus>image2.png</imageFolderFocus>[/CODE]

Ultimately though this is a skin issue, not really a plug-in issue.
