MediaPortal Version: 0.2.2.0 MediaPortal Skin: BlueTwo Windows Version: WinXP MCE 2005 latest update.... CPU Type: AMD Athlon 2100+ HDD: WD 120Gb (system) + IBM Deskstar 45 Gb Memory: 1024 MB DDR PC2700 (2x512MB) Motherboard: MSI 745 Ultra Video Card: Geforce2 MX200 64MB Video Card Driver: Forceware 93.41 International Sound Card: Creative Live! Remote: Microsofts MCE remote I was struggling with lag, bad lip-sync when playing movies, and low response times when pressing the remote while playing movies, after setting up this HTPC-box. So I did a little check - and it turns out the cpu-load is around 75-90% when running MP - both in fullscreen and windowed mode. During movie play it's 100%. While running it as a window, and focusing on another win-program or the task manager, the MediaPortal.exe goes from 75% to 0-3%. And when I'm going back to MP it immediately goes back up to around 75% - even when MP is idling. I had no such problems with my last setup - which in short terms was a P3@866, 768MB RAM and a Riva TNT2 32MB gfx using the 77.79 Forceware. I tried disabling the animations in MP but with no effect on the CPU load. Any ideas? (Oh, and I don't have a TV-card so I just use it for the rest of the features)
