Hi,

Ive been using MediaPortal for a few weeks with various problems so thought id do a clean install to see if it was any better.

Im getting 100% CPU (on 1 core if enable both I get 50% on each) usage when MediaPortal has focus, even when just on the home screen..if I then click on the task manager so Media Portal looses focus it drops to nearly 0%..

After reading other posts I thought it was a codec problem so have just installed the NVIDIA codec but the problem still remains.

Also after a few minutes the TV is cutting out to a black screen and I have to use "End Task" to close it.

It was working fine all last night while recording 2 channels..this morning its very flaky.

Specs are:

Clean install XP SP2 all updates applied icluding the memory leak ones suggested on here.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Been trying for ages to get this running reliably :(
