Hey guys,
Im having an issue with my movies not starting when I hit play. Sometimes they will start on the first try other times they take multiple tries. Like tonight I went to watch Inception and I had to hit play 3 or 4 times.
When I hit play it looks like it is about to play then cuts back to the movie selection screen. Sometimes the screen goes black other times it doesnt. I was told its a codec issue so I went and uninstalled all the ones I thought I had. I removed SAF 6 and LAV filters. I reinstalled the lates LAV filters and thats all Im using as far as I know.
The files are all Blu Ray ISO - movie only w/ HD audio. Under my codec options in MP I have LAV VID for all my video decoding and LAV AUDIO under all my sound decoding. Then under Audio rendering I have 4 options. If my reciever isnt on I only have 2 options. Once I turn my receiver on I get my 2 AMD HDMI options.
Tonight after I watched the movie I went down and it was on "default direct sound". I then changed it to "direct sound AMD HDMI". I tested top gun and it started right up and that has caused me similar problems before. Now I could have sworn I had that before I did my uninstalling and what not and had the same issue.
Thats the thing though....its not consistently happening. ANY IDEAS? are there some options in my LAV config I should be checking? The computer always stays on but the receiver doesnt....could that be some issue. When it was on default direct sound it still passed my HD Audio.
Thanks in advance for any help.
