I picked up a HD-PVR and while trying to get the IR to control my satellite box, (with no results) I've progressed my way to this forum and Media Portal. Still in shock n awe, I installed it and a skin. I played with config and I see the images I linked to under the weather menu. COOL.
Still I'm out to get HD-PVR (component out) into the PC (have done this with media center) which then runs out a DVI to HDTV cord that runs upstairs to my HDTV. (to be media center).
So far - I've not been able to have the TV configure - see my TV signal? Any ideas? MCE does find it, and displays it - I just can't change channels on my SAT SET TOP BOX (but that's down the road for now).
Is mediaportal going to work with this HD-PVR? or am I barking up the wrong tree?
