Home automation integration with Crestron (1 Viewer)

Hi my real name is Gary.

I have recently got into MP having come from a high end backgound in my profession as a control systems programmer.

I am in the process of building my own HTPC system which I would eventually like to integrate into my Crestron home automation system.

Could anybody point me in the right direction regarding integrating MP with a control system. I am looking to emulating the MP UI on my Crestron touchpanels so will need to serve the text & graphics components (cover art) back to the Crestron.

Control will be over IP.
A few pointers in the right direction to get me started would be great.

I think you can salvage quite a bit from the X10/xap protocol.
