Homepage login not passing through to forum (1 Viewer)

I've got a recurrence of the old problem with the login not being passed from the home page.
When I log in to the homepage and click the forum link, I have to use the forum login dropdown thing to log in again...
Can you please help?

and you port the plugin-repository to something WP-compatible? ;P
nope, not going to happen but soon an update to Joomla 3.3, hopefully with a new working bridge in place.
