I have 6 tuners, tuner 6 is connected up to my motorised dish, but I am using it as fixed on 13deg E.

The other 5 tuners all use DJBlu's plugin and are on a fixed dish pointing at 28.2deg E.

I have a separate group named Hotbird 13deg East, and this has a full channel scan in it of just 13deg East.

Now.. Using DJBlu's plugin I can get EPG data for the Sky ITA channels, however I need to get EPG for channels outside of that bouquet.

It seems that the main problem I have is that there are channels from multiple countries on 13deg E?

Is there any way to accomplish this? Thinking about it, even if I could just get now/next would be ok, since I usually only browse 13deg and won't be scheduling recordings from there.

The important thing is that any method used mustn't affect the UK channels on the other 5 tuners!

    Hi psykix

I would have thought that mapping the HB 13 channels to *only* tuner 6, and then enabling EPG grabbing on them would work fine. As long as the channels are not mapped to the other 5 tuners, the extra channels can't have any effect on them. Have I missed something?

Thanks for the reply.. Just not sure how to grab EPG on that tuner only?

Well I told it to grab DVB-EPG on Marcopolo but it didn't seem to populate the EPG..

What am I doing wrong? Wrong channel?

You can edit the tuner settings in TV Server configuration by going to the tuner list, select a tuner that you don't want to grab EPG, click "edit", untick grab EPG, then save. Repeat for each tuner as necessary. Wiki notes are -->here<--.

That seems unnecessary - the channels aren't mapped to the other tuners so TV Server implicitly knows it can't use those tuners for grabbing EPG for those channels.

No idea, sorry. It is difficult to help with something like this without access to the satellite. The basic principles are:
    1. Enable the timeshifting and/or idle EPG grabber (link).
    2. Select your channels and tick store data only for the selected channels (link).

Thanks for the reply.. I kind of figured it out - however I need to try to find which channels transmit the EPG data on Hotbird.

I tried Marcopolo (which I used to use when I had a Dreambox) but that doesn't grab anything.. Also seemed to remember Alice being used at one point!

Hopefully someone knows which channels I need to be selecting..
