How about a plugin for Gas Prices? (1 Viewer)

Has anyone thought about a plugin that would show the price of gasoline and the station location? It would be very cool if it could be linked with one of the maps now, either Google or Yahoo local maps (I'd think it would be better to work with them since Yahoo has their own HTPC softwre now)

Wouldn't it be cool to show the prices on the left with the station icon and then in the map show the highlighted locations? with the price?

I know in the states there are places you can go on the web to find gasoline prices, but would be great to have it very accessible on MP.

Maybe then could create a OSD at the bottom that would be a crawling ticker tape which would only show when prices would be start to drop or climb higher from your favorite stations!

hakuna - Thanks for the links. Understand this plugin is not currently being developed but maybe if others think this would be a good idea then add any web page links under this thread. Maybe if a developer see the responses he might start developing it.

just use the browser as external plugin and go to one of the sites you wrote
