My HTPC is rock steady so I haven't done anything with it since this spring. But today I thought I should update it with the latest SVN and then I saw that there's a release candidate out. GREAT WORK EVERYONE! However, I wasn't able to just install the RC1 without changing the registry, the dreaded "Another version of this product is already installed" problem. Well, I got the install task to run, but to no avail - it's not updating my files and I'm stuck with my old 0.2.2 SVN release.

Is there a way to upgrade my installation or am I supposed to start all over again? (Which would be a hell with all cool plugins etc)

I was spending quite some time searching the forums for this question, I just can't believe I'm the only one with this problem, but I wasn't able to find any good threads at all in the matter.

Thanks in advance!

Since it's new version of MP, you will need to probly upgrade the plugins to newer versions, and the same applies to the skin.
Your customization should be fine, when you uninstall MP. But just in case, I'd make an archive of your whole MP directory.

Ahhh, I never thought I should uninstall it first. Worked like a charm! Thank you very much.:D
